Lichen Index

The spores of T. eluteriae are normally divided into 10-12 cells but occasionally 13 or 14. Within the genus only T. subeluteriae has the combination of pseudostromata raised well off the thallus surface and 10 or more celled spores. However, the interior of the pseudostromata of that species is orangish while that of T eluteriae is yellow.
