Trypethelium eluteriae

Most species within the genus have perethecia buried in wart like protuberances called pseudostromata. Several perethecia share each pseudostromata. In T. eluteriae these are particularly raised and prominent. |

A closer view of the ostioles of the perethecia can be seen on the left. In the top photo a pseudostromata has been bisected to reveal the black perethecia cavities. Surrounding the perethecia is a yellow powdery material indicative of the species. In T. subeluteriae (visually close to T. eluteriae) the powdery material is orangish. |
